Life Action Family Camp #5

"Follow Me" Matt. 9:9-13

Jesus simply said to follow Me. Jesus sees you where you are and asks you to follow. If I will not leave what I love, I will not follow long. Matt 8:19-20
Following Jesus is a matter of the heart.

"Fear Not"  Is. 43:1-7

Fear not, God created you. God has a purpose for this time and this place. Have peace in this assurance. Fear not, God helps you. The Bible doesn't say God will keep you from trouble, He said He will be with you. Fear not God loves you. He is your Savior. Fear not, God is using you. We must live lives to reflect God's glory. Be a reflection of Him. Before you can courageously fear not, you must joyfully fear HIM!

Parenting
Col. 3:20-21, Prov. 29:17, 22:15, 29:15

Parenting is learning to know when to "grab" and "release." We can't act like God in their lives but rather we need to trust our kids to God.  Don't bypass their hearts by being too controlling. As parents, we need to extract the foolishness in their hearts and insert wisdom.

Marriage
Heb. 13:4Col 3:10, 12-13, 1 Thess. 4:9

Marriage - a holy covenant initiated by God, conditioned on an irrevocable promise to pursue oneness with an imperfect person of the opposite sex for a lifetime for the glory of God. Pursue compassion, kindness, gentleness and patience. Extravagant love is exclusive, expressed and extraordinary, putting your spouses needs above your own. Enter their world, their areas of interest.

A Day in the Life of Christ
Mark 1:21-39, john 15:5, Luke 10:38-42, John 12:1-3;7

"In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there."(Mark 1:35 )  Jesus knew His priority, stay connected to God. If Jesus needed this, how much more do we need it!

 "The supreme need of every hour of
difficulty and distress, is for a
Vision of God;
Seeking Him, everything else
takes on proper perspective and proportion." G. Campbell Morgan
