Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

Right from the oven...pour me some MILK!

I found this recipe as I was going through my Grandma's old recipes. Any recipe that claims it's "the best" I have to try. Especially when it has to do with chocolate chip anything! Here's the problem with making cookies. Do you see the picture? "Chill for 1 hour." Sigh. I WAS doing well with my eating till THIS recipe came around. I don't know about you but I love, love, love cookie dough. So do my kids. So does my husband. So do I. And I do too. Love. Anyways, I not only love the cookie dough, but I have to try a cookie hot from the oven. Then I have to try one when it's completely cooled. I. Love. Cookies. (It's not a good idea for me to make cookies when I am trying to watch my sweets. Not. A. Good. Idea.) But I had too. I'm taking them to a friends house over the weekend. However, this is only Thursday. I'm going to have to hide them.
Your turn. Try them and see what you think. Do you think they are "The Best-Ever Chocolate Chip Cookie?"

1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 t. nilla
1 1/2 c. old fashioned oats (makes me feel like they are healthy  ;)
1 c. chocolate chips

1.Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon

2. Beat butter and sugars till fluffy. Beat in egg and nilla.

3. At low speed, beat in flour mixture. Fold in oats and chips. Cover and chill for 1 hour (ha!...good luck with that!)

4. Roll into balls and Bake @350 on greased cookie sheets.10-12 minutes.

5. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute and remove to a cooling rack.

If anyone who read this and tries the recipe...you have to rate the recipe for me. Come back and comment: 1-10 on the "Best Cookie" scale. 1-being lowest - won't ever make them again, 10-being highest - in love with it.

Wow...they are definitely good! I'd give them a 9 as they are yummy!! I made them with dark chocalate chips...good! I usually like to eat cookies when they are still warm but these taste better when they are cooled down! Thanks for sharing the recipe!!!! =)
