Ten Years!

Yesterday, February 6Th, was Nate and mine 10Th anniversary. I'm excited to hit this small milestone in our marriage. We were able to celebrate by going out to eat at Outback, with no kids, and came home and watched Fireproof.

Looking back, ten years ago, some nice memories that I have are: Nate proposing. He wrote a song and sang it for me. My bridal shower. My maid of honor who was my best friend, sang a song to me that I had written for her. Also at my bridal shower, my brother wrote a sweet note to me. My dad also wrote a letter to our pastor giving his blessing. The pastor gave that letter to me and I treasure it to this day! I think I cry every time I read it. Just knowing my dad true thoughts are priceless! Our wedding day was beautiful with a high of 70 degrees. Then we woke up the next day to snow! There always seems to be some glitch to every wedding. Ours was our candles on either side of the unity candles should more accurately been called torches. They were oil candles and we didn't trim the wicks so when they were lit they looked like torches. You can actually see smoke on the video! The pastor fixed it for us before the ceremony started. I didn't know any of this until after the ceremony.

I look back on these past ten years I remember many times of growing, times of laughing, times of crying, times of contentment, times of need, times of sickness, times of health, times of hard work and times of rest. I wouldn't trade any of it. I pray that the Lord will allow us many more years together. I pray that He will lead us beside gentle waters. Thank You Lord for my family, my marriage, my best friend.
