Dear Kitchen and Dining Room,

I was wondering if you could clean up after yourself tonight? Please clean the cheerio minefield on the floor. We are constantly setting off the minefield with each step we take. The new painting on the walls, about waist level and down, is not a new decorative painting, it's just samples of last weeks meals so scrub them really good. Somehow my kids thought they needed five thousand cups and straws today so they will need washing. As for the slats in the dinning room chairs and table, they are full of hardened pieces of rice, stale broccoli, and a variety of crumbs that Hallie has been enjoying as snacks. I'm pretty sure we have windows on the south wall of the dinning room, maybe the Windex can find them. I know you have been confused lately as to whether you are an art gallery because of the scissors, scraps of paper, smears of glue, crayons, markers and colored pencils scattered all around. Sorry about all that, just shove all that stuff in the cabinet, you know, the one that has papers sticking out of them and can't shut all the way? Oh yea, and there's a spot on the kitchen floor in front of the fridge that we keep getting stuck on. And don't forget the unrecognizable blobs plastered onto the baby seat. I think that should do it...for now.
Love,
Julie

p.s. If it's not to much trouble, could you have coffee, scrambled eggs and toast ready by 7:15a.m. tomorrow? That would be super.
